*1955 Eschle Singing Bird Box Automaton with Enamel Birds*

			This rare 1955 (marked on bellows) Eschle (stamped on movement) singing bird box automaton is in excellent working condition. This all brass Eschle movement is original. The box has lost some of its black enamel though not on the lid. Eschle was a German company who made singing birds and was more known for the less expensive tourist versions of the 70-80s. This much more rare 1955 movement demonstrates clearly the initial focus on quality to match or exceed Griesbaum before Eschle sought the mass market. A collectors item.

*Griesbaum #18 Singing Bird Box Automaton in Brass with Filigree Lid*

			Very desirable, excellent working condition mid 20th century mechanical singing bird box in an ormolu brass case with intricate ormolu brass filigree work to the lid. The bird plumage is colorful and original and there is no damage to this box. A nice singer.

Wonderfully executed and excellent condition Reuge singing bird box automaton. Late 1900s, well cared for, strong singer and beautiful bird. Finished in gilt and blue enamel on brass.

	*Silver Griesbaum Singing Bird Box Automaton*


		This c. 1920s Griesbaum mechanical singing bird box has been carefully restored. The all original bone beak bird is intact (original feathers). This smaller than usual movement plays a short sweet song. Deep and intricate silver relief figures and decoration on all sides -- fully decorated bottom as well. Singing Bird Boxes

We specialize in Bontems, older Griesbaum, and vintage Reuge singing bird boxes, there
is a waiting list for the older and rarer pieces (which don't make it to the website). So if
you are interested in a rare piece please let us know and we'll add you to the lists.

Each of our bird boxes have been professionally restored to working condition as needed.
We clean lightly each piece under the assumption that the eventual owner can always clean
further, but it takes decades to add back the patina once removed.

Griesbaum #19 Singing Bird Box Automaton (all original)

Every so often we find a box that appears to have been rarely used in its life. This Griesbaum #19 brass with extensive decoration on all sides (not bottom) is all original and has the attractive bird style with ruby colored eyes. It is fully operational and a great singer. It must have been played a few times, needed an adustment and was left in a box for decades. We made only minor adjustments - almost no signs of wear.

Brass Griesbaum Early 1900s Singing Bird Box Automaton

Brass singing bird box automaton with original Griesbaum movement and handsome relief and mural depictions on all sides except bottom. Original bird is included in sale for a future restoration, but was not fully functioning, so we have replaced with a fully functioning german bird. Now excellent working condition.

*c1900 Enamel over Guilloches Singing Bird Box Automaton*

		This rare light green enamel bird box is all original and restored to full operating condition. The enamel is done over guilloches with finely carved ivory decorative details (lid, feet, lever). This is a german box, but pre-dates Griesbaum (early 1900s/late 1800s). The box is in original and remarkable condition except for two slight imperfections in the top enamel that could be original.

1900s Griesbaum singing bird automaton with green enamel and gilt decoration. Unusual style, well cared for and all original. Very little restoration done to this box.
